Main Attractions

Time to Visit

 September - March

Places to Stay

  • Hotel Kailash (Our choice since it faces Ellora caves and is nearest)
  • Hotel VITS (Luxury)
Best place to stay is near Ellora Caves. Daulatabad Fort in En route(Can be skipped!) and Aurangzeb`s Tomb is very near from Ellora.

Food

Tahari is a rice based delicacy similar to Biryani which is a specialty here. Food in Aurangabad is influenced by Mughal cuisine.

Must Carry
  • Sunscreen/Hat/Umbrella - anything to protect you from the Sun.
  • Fluids

Tips
  • Sunrise at Ellora is good for photography.
  • Aurangabad is famous for its silk.
  • Quartz  stones are also commonly found with a normal exterior but the inside has impressive crystal structures. These can be kept as souvenir if you are not worried about their weight. You will find many shops selling these.
  • We were lucky to find quite a few variety of birds as well.
